The discussion concerns an overview of relevant employment and social developments both at the European and national’s levels. The analysis takes into account the effect of the pandemic, the Russian invasion and the energy crises on the labour market, stating that skills shortages increased, while inflation harmed households’ wealth and the raise of minimum wages. Focusing on the rates of labour inclusivity for people caring disabilities, the gap remains significant in some EU countries, rendering the actuation of the Disability Employment Package necessary.
