The European Commission hosted the conference on the European Day of People with Disabilities
On 24th and 25th November the European Commission organised its annual conference to celebrate the International Day of People with Disabilities. The event brought together policy makers, civil society organisations and disability advocates who discussed in depth the challenges and opportunities in three main fields: young people with disabilities, international instruments promoting equal rights and violence against persons with disabilities. The conference was closed by the ceremony of the 2023 Access City Award, which was won by Skelleftea, Sweden.
