Report: Access to Justice for Persons with Disabilities in the EU
The 12th Edition of the EU Justice Scoreboard – an established and fundamental instrument in the EU’s Rule of Law toolbox – has been released. It provides a summary of data on the three key established elements of effective national justice systems: 1. Efficiency; 2. Quality; 3. Independence. One of the indicators related to the access to justice systems measures the “Specific arrangements for supporting the participation of persons with disabilities as professionals in the justice system”. The European Quality in Social Services (EQUASS) is an initiative of the European Platform for Rehabilitation (EPR). EQUASS enhances the social sector by engaging social service providers in continuous improvement, learning and development, in order to guarantee service users quality of services throughout Europe.
