QOLIVET Project: 2022 Updates

Enhancing the quality of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Community Care (CC) provision across Europe and raising its impact on the Quality of Life (QOL) of students and end-users is the core objective of the QOLIVET project.

Funded by the ERASMUS+ Programme in 2020, this project coordinated by EPR has been implemented with a consortium of 6 organizations (EVTAEWORXCRPGREHAB GroupURI and ONCE Foundation) in 5 European countries (Belgium, Ireland, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain).

In 2022, the project’s partners were strongly committed in producing high quality contents for the following deliverables:

  • Summary Synthesis Report, describing the research findings of current policies and practices to inform good practice in enhancing the QoL outcomes of services and vocational programmes;
  • Good Practices Guidelines (available in 4 languages: EN, SP, PT and SLO), reviewed by the external expert Verdugo, bringing together useful thinking to develop more effective service mechanisms to promote enhanced QoL and appropriate tools to be used across sectors and service types to measure outcomes and impact.

A training course over three days in Porto (Portugal) hosted by CRPG, was delivered with the aim to link the production of the final versions of the Good Practice Guidelines and the Online Training Course with subsequent activities.

The first multiplier event at EU level was organized in October 2022 in Brussels, in collaboration with the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC). Meaningful interventions to promote the Good Practices Guidelines of the project, its Online Training Course and raising awareness on the concept of QOL of people with disabilities and the importance of quality provision in VET and CC services.

The project will end in 2023 when the final deliverables of the project will be finalized:

  • QOLIVET Portal collecting relevant resources;
  • QIAT (Quality Impact Assessment Tool), an online measurement tool available in the Portal to allow staff and participants to rate the impact of services;
  • Online training course accessible in the Portal to improve the competencies of managers and staff to apply the QOLIVET Good Practice Guidelines on service delivery with a view to enhancing QOL outcomes.
