Mission: To support people with dignity and respect to develop and use their abilities, to connect with like-minded people, to be active and valued members of their community and to lead a life of their choosing.

Social and Rehabilitation Services

Supported Community Homes: A current network of 35 supported homes in neighbourhoods throughout Kilkenny City and County supporting adults with intellectual disabilities, adults with autism and intellectual disabilities, older people with intellectual disabilities and adults with behaviours of concern.

Education and Employment: We provide a suite of training programmes, tailored to meet the learning needs of people with intellectual disabilities, teaching skills for employment through the Access Academy. We also provide support to secure, maintain and progress in paid employment through our Work4Life programme.

Community Engagement: Community engagement is at the heart of all of our programmes and supports. We actively pursue opportunities for people to learn, work and connect in their local community.

Areas of Excellence and Innovative Services

Dreamtime Radio – Ireland’s only licensed radio station where all the presenters and content creators are people with intellectual disabilities. Shortlisted for a 2024 Zero Project Award.

Data Management System – An online portal, created in-house, to centralise and secure all the personal information of the people we support, to communicate effectively with staff across 44 different locations and to reduce time spent by staff on administration.

The Access Academy – A bespoke training and education provider delivering training tailored to meet the learning the needs of people with intellectual disabilities in industry relevant and recognised skills.

Park Avenue – A unique collection of supported community homes for singular living with separate accommodation for staff that is best suited to people who thrive in their own space.
