Digital Skills Working Group

Online 14th December, 14.00-16.00 CET

Background

For 2022 EPR and its members agreed to working in the digital skills field by creating a dedicated working group. 3 meetings were planned for this year (2 online 2 hours each and 1 day in person). The first meeting in April 2022 focused on the European context for digital skills and the testing and discussion on the EU Digital Skills and Jobs Platform with the aims to brainstorm on requirements for the accessibility of digital skills assessment tools. In September 2022, a Webinar on “Digital Europe, programme, objectives and opportunities for funding” was carried out to share the most relevant information of funding opportunities to support digital transition. In November 2022, the second to last hybrid meeting was hosted by EPR member Fundacion Once in Madrid. The participants had the opportunity to visit the digital hub and learn more about the training programmes designed for the Fundacion ONCE’s users with disabilities. They also had an exchange on projects and programmes implemented in the field and shared recommendations for the accessibility of digital skills. Some projects ideas where shared with the aim to develop a project concept.

The final online meeting this year will hear from good practices from EPR members, look further into project ideas and discuss some relevant EU initiatives. A brainstorm on the topics to be included in the 2023 plan will be also carried out at the end of the meeting.
