Advancing Healthcare Inclusion & Equal Treatment for People with Intellectual Disabilities

On 26 November, 2024, we held the ‘Advancing Healthcare Inclusion and Equal Treatment for People with Intellectual Disabilities‘ Conference at the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels.

The event brought together key stakeholders for an important policy debate on healthcare inclusion and equal treatment for people with intellectual disabilities. Participants had the opportunity to hear from leading experts in disability rights and healthcare, discussing the current state of healthcare access, policy recommendations, and the challenges faced by this community. They also engaged in panel discussions, heard testimonials from those directly impacted, and contribute to the ongoing policy debate.

The event also showcased the achievements of the ERASMUS+ funded project, EQUAL TREATMENT, including the development of an innovative e-training course for healthcare professionals.
