Commissioner for Employment, Social Rights and Inclusion presented a new campaign of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) on “Safe and healthy work in the digital age”

In a bid to champion safety and health in the digital era – Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Nicolas Schmit, is set to introduce a new campaign by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) on “Safe and healthy work in the digital age.” As digitalization rapidly transforms workplaces, this initiative aims to emphasise the continued importance of safety and health at work, even in the face of technological advances. The campaign’s launch coincides with the European Week for Safety and Health at Work, featuring numerous awareness-raising events throughout the EU and beyond. “Safe and healthy work in the digital age” is a two-year effort built on EU-OSHA research, focusing on five key areas:
1. Digital platform work
2. Automation of tasks
3. Remote and hybrid work
4. Worker management through artificial intelligence (AI)
5. Smart digital systems
