A new partnership for skills in the social economy sector

The European Commission supported the launch of a new partnership among social economy organisations, ethical banks, vocational education and training providers, regions and other key actors in the social economy. The partnership is part of the Pact for Skills, a flagship initiative under the European Skills Agenda, and its aim is to boost the upskilling and reskilling of the social economy workforce, especially in terms of digital skills, social entrepreneurship and capacity-building. The initiative complements other measures taken by the EU to address the green and digital transitions and strengthen the social economy, such as the Social Economy Action Plan.
