Equal Treatment: Supporting rights and access of people with intellectual disabilities to secondary and tertiary healthcare service

As the Equal Treatment project is drawing to an end, the project’s final Transnational Partners’ Meeting took place on 27-28 June 2024 in Girona, Spain, hosted by our Spanish partners, Fundació Campus Arnau d’Escala and the Girona Biomedical Research Institute Dr. Josep Trueta (IDIBGI), and was covered by the local press.

The in-person meeting allowed the project consortium to discuss updates, timelines, responsibilities, risks, and issues related to the final phase of developing and piloting the online training courses for staff, students, and professional supporters with fluidity and efficiency.

The Commission has approved a three-month extension for the project, and plans are underway for the final dissemination event. This event, showcasing the project deliverables, is scheduled for 26th November at the European Economic and Social Committee.
