WHO/Europe held its first Regional Forum on sustainable economy and health

On the 1st and 2nd of March, took place the first “Health in the Well-Being Economy” Regional High-Level Forum led by WHO/Europe, in Copenhagen. The forum saw national and international representatives, covering positions concerning economy, finance and health, reflecting on how to boost resilience, sustainable development, health and well-being, within Europe. The discussion focused on how international crises – namely, the energy crises, the Coronavirus pandemic and the war in Ukraine – pose a threat to social care, welfare systems and the population’s health status, and the importance of coordination between national and international authoritativeness. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the goal of the Forum is to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy society and produce practical and common solutions to develop a sustainable and well-being economy.
