Strategic Workshop – Interpreting Megatrends

Brussels, Belgium/hybrid 25 October 11.15-13.15

This workshop explored megatrends, presenting the latest research and analysis on global developments that could impact service providers in the social and disability sectors. Participants identified and discussed the most relevant topics, examining possible consequences of the developments and trends in their work.

The workshop was led by Thomas Geuken, expert in strategic future studies, Associated Director at Copenhagen Institute for futures studies and CEO of a leadership psychology consulting company in Denmark. A professional keynote speaker and author of successful articles and books on leadership, organisational design and creativity, during his outstanding career Thomas has spoken at several TEDx events and conferences in Europe and in the Unites States and has worked as a strategic advisor for companies such as Google and Volvo, regional health services, municipalities and United Nations Development Programs.

Thomas firmly believes that future studies provide people with the ability ‘to see’ the big picture differently, to use ‘curiosity’ to design alternative scenarios and to find solutions to collectively shared problems.
